SAB Ltd has won the following awards in recent years:
- In both 2005 and 2006, SAB was voted The Most Admired Company in South Africa in a survey conducted by Ask Afrika.
- SAB has been named in the top five of the Best Company To Work For by the Corporate Research Foundation and Business Report for the last four consecutive years
- SAB was been placed in the top ten in the Financial Mail/Deloitte annual Best Company To Work For survey every year from 2001 to 2005.
- In 2006, SAB was named South Africa's fourth most Favourite Brand overall in the Sunday Times/Markinor "Top Brands" survey. In the same survey, Castle Lager came sixth overall, and was voted SA's most favourite beer. Carling Black Label was voted SA's most favourite alcoholic drink.
- Castle Lager was voted the best alcoholic beverage in the Daily News Your Choice survey in 2005.
- SAB was named South Africa's most ideal employer by MBA students in a 2005 Finance Week survey.
- SAB was awarded a Diamond Arrow Top Future award for companies in the Beverages sector by PMR in 2005, achieving the highest rating of all companies in the survey.
- SAB was awarded a Golden Arrow Award by PMR for its role in enhancing economic growth and development in Gauteng.
- Voted Top Manufacturing Company of the Year in the manufacturing category of the National Business Awards in 2004.
- Winner of the Marketing Organisation of the Year at the Loeries in 2004.
- Awarded the Global Best Award for Partnerships in 2004 by the Conference Board of Canada in association with the International Partnership Network.
- Winner of a Clio award in 2004 for advertising excellence for the Worldwind commercial on Castle Lager.
- SAB Ltd's parent company, SABMiller was named the listed company with the best media reputation in South Africa in the 2004 Media Image Survey.
- South Africa's Most Caring Company in the annual 2004 Business Social Monitor survey – a position the company has held for five consecutive years.
- The inaugural BusinessMap Foundation Black Economic Empowerment Award for the Most Progressive Established Company of the Year in 2003.
